Serving the Foothill and Mountain Communities east of the Friant-Kern Canal and south of the Kings River of Fresno and Tulare Counties.

Who Are We?
The Oak to Timberline Fire Safe Council is a community based organization in and around the foothills and mountain communities. Through the facilitation of the Hume Lake Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest and the CalFire and Fire Protection, Fresno-Kings Ranger Unit, our council is well under way to becoming a viable Non-Profit Corporation with a mission, “promote fire safety by providing information, education, support incentives and projects that encourage fire safety in our communities, serving east of the Friant-Kern Canal and south of the Kings River, From “Oak to Timberline “.

With the cooperation and dedication of our partners, such as the USFS, CalFire, NPS along with the tenacity of this Fire Safe Council and the strong base of community support from residents, ranches, businesses, clubs, and organizations, we have already begun to generate an action based, goal oriented group of participants who are absolutely focused on our mission ahead.

The success of this council depends upon the willingness and participation of people just like you!
We are all concerned about potentially devastating effects of wildfire on our families, homes, businesses and neighborhoods. Won’t you join us? Monthly Meetings for ‘2010’, 4th Thursday of the month, 7 pm (except November and December)
